Liberal newspapers declare that Lord Charles Beresford, Admirai Sir R. distance, and some other officers are sceptical about the value of the Dreadnought battleships, and anxious that armoured ships of the preDreadnoughts type should be distributed in the best possible manner, fully equipped, and in instant readiness for war.
GERMANY ACTIVE. TWELVE DOCKS BUILT. Received May 12, 8.30 a.m. BERLIN, May 11. Twelve large German docks, capable of accommodating Dreadnoughts, are built or building, including nine in North Sea ports.
