METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph —Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 11. The following is the Rev. D. a Bates' general weather forecast:— Moderate to'strong southerly winds backing to westward are probable generally, with changeable and showery weather; barometer rising slowly north of New Plymouth and Napier,|but a fall is probable southwards, with stronger westerly winds after about twelve hours. Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Tuesday was 28 points.
