The low pressure indicated on Wednesday is now still more evident off the west coast of the South Island, but will probably unite with tha westerly wave of low pressure now advancing over the Tasman Sea; northerly winds, strong to gale, will then succeed in all parts sauth of New Plymouth and Napier, but a slight rise in the barometer, with southerly winds, may occur for a few hours in the meantime.
