F.O.R. (Ngatitipu).—-According to the last census (1906) the papulations were as follow:—Auckland (37,736); Wellington (58,563); Christehurch (49,928); Dunedin (36.070); Timaru (7,615); Masterton (5,026); North (10,239). Liverpool, with Bootle, Birkenhead and the suburbs beyond the new boundary, may be set down at ,860,000—population, municipal borough and county of the city 517,980. Glasgow, with municipal boundaries, 565,714; city and suburbs 770,471. To this may be added 40,940 persons in business i» Glasgow residing beyond the suburbs, and 3,000 at the coast at census time, giving a grand total ot 814,411.
