BEFORE "IHE POLICE COURT. PLEADS GUILTY TO FOKGERY. OTHER CHARGES PENDING. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 3. Amy Maud Bock was charged at tha Police Court, this morning, "that she did on or about January 4th, 1009, commit'forgery by. forgit,g the name of John Roy ts a receipt for £92, and uttering the same to Arthur Ellis." Accused's solicitor asked that she might be allowed to have a chair with her back to the audience, but Mr Widdowson, S.M., declined the request. Accused pleaded guilty and said: "I would like to express my thanks to tiie police for the kind way in which they have carried out their duties in this matter, and also to thank Mr and Mrs Roy for the kindness with which I was treated when in eervice with them." Chief Detective Herbert said that three other charges were to be preferred against accused. His Worship said that the accused , would be committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The question of bail could come up when other cases were heard. Accused was then charged with receiving £4l from Margaret Henderson by means of false pretences, and was remanded till Friday.
