A PECULIAR CASE.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WOODVILLE, April 29. - A peculiar case came before.the Court yesterday. Some months ap;o certain members of the Fire Brigade took umbrage at the Borough Council refusiug to increase their subsidy. All resigned except three, and claimed that this disbanded the brigade. They retained the funds and furniture. A suit was brought by the present captain for the recovery of these. A non-&uit was granted, as formal evidence of the existence of the brigade at present time was not brought forward. The magistrate recommended arbitration.
