RIFLE SHOOTING.
MAURICEVILLE v. ALFREDTON. (From Our Own Correspondent). A return match was fired at the Mauriceville Rifle Range on Thursday /last between the local team and the Alfredton team. The condi (ions were ten men aside, and strike out the two lowest scores. The visiting team bringing only eight men decided to strike an average for two men and strike out the two lowest scorers, which gave them a decided advantage over the local team, as will be seen by the scores. The weather was very bad, rain commencing to fall at the 500 yards range, and increasing at the 600 yards range, the targets collapsing as the match was finished. The following were the scores:—
