FISHING DISPUTE.

AMERICAN SCHOONER SEIZED. Received April 23, 8.20 a.m. OTTAWA, April 22. Midway between East [and West Haycock Islands, which are only five miles away, the cruiser Kestrel se«zed the American scnooner Charles Levi, of Woodbury, which was fishing for halibut, on the ground that it was trespassing. Three rounds were fired for the purpose of scaring the fishing vessel; a fourth was fired, and ripped the main sail before the schooner surrendered. Legislative action will be taken in the matter.
