Lord Charles Beresford, writing to a Navy League meeting at Bournemouth, wished the league success in arousing the nation to a sense of its grave danger. "If the country knew the real truth," said the Adm ral, "there would be a panic."

The "Standard" states that Admiral Wilson is accounted to be the finest tactician and strategist in the navy. THE TERRITORIALS. NUMBERS MOUNTING UP. • Received April 21, 8.45 a.m. LONDON, April 20. The Territorial Force now numbers 254,525, or 84 pel cent, of the establishment.
