LATE PRIMATE OF AUSTRALIA.

FUNERAL OBSEQUIES. Received April 21, 9.10 p.m. SYDNEY, Apirl 21. The funeral of the late Dr Wm. Saumarez Smith, Primate of Australia, took place to-day, a most impressive and solemn service being held at St. Andrew's Chthedral, which was packed, the congregation embracing large numbers of clergymen, including many of other denominations besides Anglican. Thousands of people gathered outside the cathedral, and watched the long procession along the route to the Waverley Cemetery. It is estimated that 10,000 persons assembled in the cemetery. There was' an immense number of beautiful floral offerings.
