VIEWS OF MINISTER OF MARINE. Received April 21, 8.5 am. OTTAWA, April 20. The Hon. L. P. Brodeur, Canadian Minister of Marine, speaking at Montreal, referring to the visit of himself and Sir F. W. Borden to England to consult the Admiralty, said: "We want no militarism, but our better stand as a nation brings new; obligations. We won power to make treaties where we are concerned, and can claim that we are a nation, with a nation's responsibilities, and must begin to defend our territory equally on iand and sea."
