STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their fortnightly sale at their Masterton yards, yesterday:—We submitted a very good yarding of all classes of stock. We quote: —Forward condition woolly lambs, 7» 9d to 8s and 8s 6d; black face lambs, 7s Id to 7s 3d; 2-tooth wethers, 9s lOd to 10s 2d; fat and forward ewes, 8s 9d to 9s lOd; fat and forward wethers, 10s 5d to 10s lOd; f.m. ewes in lamb, 6s Id (low condition); forward condition, 9s 3d to 10s 4d. In wethers we submitted some extra good, these making a high rate. In ewes the class were mostly culls and prices realised were correspondingly low. In lambs sales for all strong sorts were few, but faulty lots were hard to quit.' The entries in cattle were small, and sales about o*n a par with last markets. A line of extra good 2 and 4-tooth wethers sold at lis 4d, smallar sorts 10s; aged ewes in lamb from fis; best shorn lambs, 7s 6d; woolly, 8s 8d; small, 5s to 6s; forward cows and heifers, 40s to 555; slip pigs, lis 6d.
