HOCKEY.

The annual meeting, of the Wairarapa Ladies' Hockey Association will be held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms, tomorrow evening, at 7.30 o'clock. Delegates will be present from Featherston, Greytown, Carterton, Dalefield, and three Masterton clubs. The business of the meeting will include the appointment of a new secretary, as Mr J. B. Rue, the present scretaery, finds it impossible to continue his duties during the forthcoming season, and the matter of arranging for another trophy petition as the Shield presented by Mr L. J:' Hughes has been won outright by Greytown. The Association is in a sound position financially. The Ramblers will hold a practice on the Showgrounds, to-morrow afternoon, at 2.30 o'clock. Knox Club will hold a practice at Lansdowne, to-morrow afternoon. The W.F.C.A. A team will play the W.F.C.A. B team to-morrow:— A team—Hall, Smith, Styles, Richards, .Thynne, Scrimgeour, Pragnell, Miriett, La Roche, Whitt, Cummins. B team—Keisenberg, Dickson, Parker, Potter, Williams (2), Winchester, Byrn, Iggulden, Kelly, Harvey and Sayers. These will be the probable teams for Cup matches, and all are requested to be on the Showgrounds at 2.30 sharp. A meeting of the Rambler Club

was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms, last evening. There was a good attendance of members, and the chair was occupied by Mr B. Iveson. It was resolved to enter a team for the Junior competition if the Wairarapa Ladies' Association decided on establishing such a competition. Misses M. o 'Toole, K. O'Lesry, W. Logan, F. Duggan, Easthope and P. Miller, and Mr B. Iveson, were appointed a Management Committee. Letters were received from Rev. Dean McKenna, Messrs A. W. Hogg and F. Dupre, accepting positions as officials of the Club, votes of thanks being passed to these gentlemen in connection therewith. Other routine business was transacted.
