REMITS TO CONFERENCE. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTuHURCH, April 15. The Trades and Labour Council resolved to make the remits to the conference favouring the adoption of the general principles of the Hon. A. R. Guinness' national accident insurance scheme, nationalisation of the iron industry, a fair rent bill, aright to work bill, the utilisation of all water power available, reaffirmation of the principles of compulsory preference to Unionists, taxation of unimproved values, and protection of witnesses after giving evidence.
