CYCLING.
A ROAD RECORD. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 15. J. Arnst, the well-known cyclist, succeeded in lowering the cycling record from Christchurch to Dunedin. 'He left Christchurch at 5 a.m. and I reached Dunedin at 5.21 p.m., thus I reducing the record of 14hrs Imin put up by Humm on 27th January by Ihr 40mm. He punctured a tyre on three occasions, but with the exception of a delay of a quarter of an hour in one case no time was lost.
