CRICKET.

The Ground Committee of the Masterton Cricket Council have granted the two end wickets on the Park Oval for Easter Monday, one to the St. Matthew's Cricket Club, who play a team from Wellington on that date, and the other to the United Club Juniors, who play Mauriceville. On Easter Monday a match will be played on the Park Oval between teams representing St. Matthew's and St. Augustine's Young Men's Bible Class, Petone. The Petona players will arrive in Masterton on Saturday night. So as to make an early start on Monday morning wickets will be pitched at 9.30 a.m. The visitors will return to Petone by the 5.3 C train on Monday night. It is to be hoped the weather will continue fine, so as to allow of an enjoyable day's cricket. The Petone team will be as follows:—F. A. Mason, A. J. Mason, J. B. Bowman, A. Bowman, W. Andrews, C. Andrews, A. Bennett, P. Greatbatch, A. Pattinson, A. Tackard, R. Southgate. The St. Matthew's team will be chosen from the following :—-F. Dixon, A. Dixon, G. Barr, F. Mothes, F. Todd, L. Boyd, N. Boyd, H. Russell, V. Sutton, H. Claughton, Kev. W. Raine, C. Car ley. The teams will adjourn at 12.15 p.m. for luncheon, which will be partaken of at Miss Finnis' Arcadia Tea Rooms.
