A terrible domestic tragedy has occurred at North a suburb of Melbourne.! A man, named William Holmes, his wife and two children, aged respectively, four years and two months, were found dead in bed. Holmes had his throat cut, and others their heads battered in. Indications pointed to that I the man had used a claw hammer to ' ill his family and had committed suicide. Holmes had been unable to obtain work, and was despondent. It is supposed committed the crime in a of madness.
