DROWNING ACCIDENT.

An Austrian namedJKostanich was drowned yesterday at Waikanae Lake, near Parengarenga. A party of Austrians were out shootin.; ducks from tha bank of the lake, and the deceased attempted to swim out for a wounded bird, and disappeared when some distance from the shore. It is presumed he was seized with cramp.
