By Telegraph—Press Association. KIMBOLTON, March 20.

At a meeting of the Kiwitea County Council the chairman expressed great regret at the impendirg retirement of Mr Hurstbouse, Chitf Engineer of Roads, and Mr Robinson, District Riad Engineer, which he described as a calamity to the council. It was decided on his motion, seconded by Councillor Guthrie, M.P.:—"That this council learns with regret the impending retirement of Messrs Hursthouse and Robinson from the public service, and wishes to place on record its appreciation of the unfailing courtesy and uniform consideration and assistancs which they have always extended to this council, and expresses the hope that they may both be spared for many years to enjoy a full measure of health and prosperity."
