MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
f MEETING OF GENERAL COML MITTEE. The monthly meeting of the General Committee of the Master-ton A. and P. Association was held on Saturday afternoon. There were present Messrs D. McGregor, junr. (Chairman), W. Perry, W. H. Buick, D. Caselberg, E. E. Chamberlain, O. •C. Cooper, W. Cooper, J. D. Cruickshank, J. R. Dagg, E. Harper, T. P. Lett, H. A. Matthews, Jos. Morris, A. J. Percy, J. E. Perry, Bland Rayner and G. C. Summere!]. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs Q. Donald, J. B. Moodie and W. J. Welch. Letters of thanks for tickets for the last Show were received from the' Premier and the Hon. A. W. Hogg, ■who regretted their inability to attend. Mesrss G. B. Starkey and W. G, Gwiiliam, judges at last Show, returned their chequas for expenses, wach expressing the view that their trouble in attending the Show was more than rpwarded by the pleasure it gave them to be present. The Wairarapa P. and A. Society notified that their Spring Show would be held on the 27th and 28th October, and the Havvke's Bay Association that their Spring dates were 20th and 21st October. The meeting carried a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Dt Guild, who judged the s f nck building competition. Messrs Lett and W. Perry made eulogistic references to the capable and sacrificing manner in which he had carried out the judging. The Chairman stated, in reference to an application from the Agricultural Department for samples of ©heaves and seed grown in the district, that various members of the Association had promised to furnish specimens, and Mr McGregor invited other members to offer suitable samples. Messrs Cruickshank, Summerell, Caselberg, McGregor, Dagg, Percy and W. Perry were appointed a committee to take the matter in hand. iThe National Sheepbreeders' Association notified that the annual meeting of the Association would be held on June 21st at Gloucester. Mr J. Stuckey, of England, was appointed to represent the Association. The Committee decided to approve • of a suggestion from the Manawatu A. and f. Association to hold a conference at Palmerston North during the National Dairy Show of Association delegates, with the object of discussing matters affecting the welfare of Associations.
