WELLINGTON CITY ORGANIST.
MS MAUGHAN BARNETT APPOINTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 11. . The City Council to-night appointed Mr Maughan Barnett city organist, at a salary of £240 per annum. He as to give an average of one recital a week. The Mayor said that Mr Barnett feati just concluded a contract with the Council to give forty recitals for two hundred guineas. These had yielded a surplus of £BO.
