LONDON WOOL SALES.
KEEN COMPETITION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Received March 11. 10.50 a.m. LONDON, March 10. There is exceptionally keen competition, at full opening rates, for all qualities of wool. The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the following cable from the High Commissioner, dated London, March 10th:—"The second wooi sales have commenced, with a number of Home, Continental, and American buyers. Competition of all descriptions is spirited compared with clusing rates at last sale. Fine crossbreds, all grades, at fd higher; merinos and coarse crossbrads.all grades higher. On February Bth quotations were as follow:-Superior merino, ll£d to Is ljd; medium merino, 9d to lid; inferior merino, 6£d to 3Jd; fine crossbreds, all grades, lid to Is l£d; medium crossbreds, all grades : BJd to lid; coarse crossbreds, all grades 6d to 9d."
