DOMINION BAZAAR.
LAST NIGHT'S PROCEEDINGS. The third night's proceedings of the Dominion Bazaar (Masterton South Brass Band) in the Town artd Drill Halls were quite as brisk and interesting as on the two previous evenings. A baby show was a prime attraction in the Town HaU, over a dozen entries being made, some very fine samples of the real colonial produet being exhibited. Mrs Browne (Hall street) showed the prize infant and Mrs Drake (Kuripuni street) the second prize child. Among the raffles the prize-winners were:—No. 17, "Collie" 225; No. 28, McVarritt, 1,242; No. 44, "Tommy Burns," 128. Mr Bert Morris wun a very interesting hat-trimming contest for men only. The concert programme was again most interesting, and unique, each item being excellently received. The following contributed items:—Messrs Grant, Jameson, Lenihau, Joe Gray, Miss Ivy Graham. Miss Graham and Mr H. Inns pl.iyed the accompaniment?. Selections were played by Messrs Inns and Goddard's orchestra. The band will march along Queen. street in fancy costume at 7.15 o'clock t .is evening. The nail driving competitions resulted as follows:—First nisjht, la-Ji-'S, Mrs G. Braggins, Mrs Williams, Mrs Rhodes, Mrs Keen; second night, Miss Bockman, Mrs Williams, Mrs Keen. Men, Mr Youlden and Mr McKenzie. It is announced that this evening selections will be given on Mr G. H. Groombvidge's'phonograph," "which has just, been imported from America at great cost." A bun-eating competition for boys will be amongst the attractions this evening, while an excellent variaty programme will be rendered in tho Town Hall. "The bazaar will be open this afternoon. To-morrow evening a musical programme will be given by the "Tiny Dots." Trie bazaar will be open on Saturday afternoon and evening.
