Stein, leader cf the Indian Government Mission to Central Asia, recently returned to London, after covering ten thousand miles in some of the wildest, bleakest regions on the earth's surface. His ,cur;iey occupied three years. Dr. Stein detailed before the Royal Geeographical Scoiety his discoveries in Chinese Turkestan. They included thousands of ancient documents—some bearing Greek seals—and wooden records of the Chinese trading and military occupations before Christ to SOO years after. Th e Great Wall of China had once continued a long distance westward. Dr. Stein's was one of Ihe most fascinating stories told before the so-'iaty for many years.
