THE PENGUIN DISASTER.
ANOTHER BODY RECOVERED. By Telegraph—Press Assocation. WELLINGTON, February 26. One of the bodies recovered on Tuesday from the wr<>ck of the Penguin has been identified as that of Mr Charles Alexander, chief steward of the vessel. The body of Mr James Collins, of Charleston, which was recovered on Tuesday will be taken to the Arahura to-morrow to be conveyed to Westport. The funeral and burial takes place at Charleston. Yesterday afternoon another body was found on the beach near the Oterangi Station. It was that of the seaman Henderson, and had on a Union Company's jersey. The body was brought to town to-day by the Unoiu Company's tug Terawhiti, which made a trip to the scene of the wreck at 5 o'clock this morning. Another body fully clothed and wearing a pair of tennis shoes was found on the rocks at the mouth of the Karori stream at dusk this evening. There was a lifebelt round the body. It was too dark to identify the remains.
