gy Telegraph—From Our Pahiatua Reporter. PS =2 WOODVILLE, February 24. Splendid weather prevailed for the Bush Districts 17th Annual Show, which was held on the Woodville racecourse to-day. His Excellency the Governor attended the Show, and after luncheon made a neat speech in declaring the Show open. His Excellency congratulated the people of Woodville and district on the splendid Show, and said he was very pleased to be present. Cheers were given for His Excellency at the conclusion of his speech. 1 A special feature of the Show was the large entry of sheep and horses. In the former class good competition was seen in the Komney Marsh and Lincolns, Mr G. E. Allen, of the Wairarapa, taking champion for Jiomney Marsh ram. The large number of 255 horses were entered for the various events, and the competitions were one of the main features of the Show. The catering was in the capable hands of Langley Bros., Mr East had the fruit and lollie stall, and Mr A. Laing had charge of the publican booth. The Committee all worked energetically, and are to be congratulated on the success of the Show, while the secretary (Mr J. H. Escott) proved himself a popular arid courteous official, The Woodville Band played selections during the day. The following is the prize list: —
Maiden Horse Leaping.—Nivery's Commodore (owner), 1; J. Sweeney's Wainui (L. Russell), 2; Otus, 3. Pony Race (once round the course. Tnere was great excitement over this race, J. Melton's Mona coming away and winning easily, E. Milne's Barkie being second. Drawing Competition.—J. Miller 1, McTavish 2. Girls' Pony Leaping.—A. Dibbs' Smut 1, D. Morrison's Wee McGregor 2.

Ladies' Leaping Competition.—H. Hunt's Corruboree 1, L. Russell's Otus 2, D. Morrison's Daphne 3. The riding ol Miss Stewart,, of Konini, on the winner was much admired, the horse being skilfully piloted over the jumps. Hunters' Leaping (hunters' style). —H. Hunt's Corroboree (Harold Welch), 1; W. S. -Stud's United (Steam), 2; Morrison's Daphne 3. Twenty-five horses competed. There were no spills. Corroboree, the winner of the double, is a splendid horse.

Southdowns. —Judge, Mr J. Strang. —S. R. Lancaster, F. C. Turnor, W. G. Aitken, and P. McKenzie competed in this class. The champion ram was shown by Mr S. R. Lancaster, and Mr Lancaster's ewe also took the championship in ewes. The most points prize was wun by Mr S. £{. Lancaster. Crossbreds. —In this class some good ewes and wethers were shown, Messrs W. H. Nelson, H. Gaisford, W. G. Aitken, Morgan Bros, and VV. H. Nelson being the most ce?sful competitors. Fat sheep.—ln this ciass Messrs Bolton, Nelson and Gaisford took all the prizes except in pen of five fats. E. P. Smart taking a second priz^.
