WELLINGTON WOOL SALE.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:— We held our fourth wool sale of the season on Friday, when we offered a catalogue of 5,851 bples (out of a total catalogue of 13,500 Jbales), as compared with 1,149 bales for the correpsonding sale of last .year. Very few good lots were ■catalogued, the bulk of the offering being dingy and logstained crossbreds. As is usual at this sale a fairly large quantity of lambs wool -was offered, and ir. this, as well as in the case of crossbrecis, there were a •considerable number of seedy parcels. There were not good lines of super •crossbreds offering at this sale. ■Buyers were present in Jarge numbers • and included representatives from all ;parts. Competition was animated throughout the sale, and prices for good classes of wool were quite on a par with January rates. Anything inferior or shabby showed a slight •decline. Of the quantity offered •(5,851 bales), 4,802 bales were sold under the hammer. Some of the prices realised by us were as folJows:—Starhill, halfbred, 8d; A in a •square over L, lambs, 9d: for Ao'honga clip, prices for crossbreds wtre irom'6£d t®7 d, and lambs up to G|d; Upton Downs, merino, 7|d to 7Ad; halfbred 9d: WNW, crossbred, 7Jd; —o—crossbred 6£d to 7gci; A in a diamond over W, crossbred, B*d; D Y Cinderhill, crossbred, SJd; Otuangiangi, crussbred, 6Jd to 6|d; Glencrieff o'ver WL conj, 7d to 7sd; L rev R conj-N, crossbred, 6|d to 7d; B in a circle over W, crossbred, 7|d; Birch Hill, merino, 8d; M T merino, 7d to B£d; Waiouru, halfbred, "d to 7£d; J WW conj, crossbred, 7£d; C L in a diamond, Tuapaka Ryeland sheep, 7|d; G RT, lambs, Bd;R A, lamb 3, BJd: Fairgrove, crossbred, 6Jd to 7|d;.
