GERMAN SHIPPING.
INCREASED SUBSIDY TO NORTH GERMAN LLOYD COMPANY. BERLIN, February 19. A Bill has passed the Reichstag providing for an increase in the subsidy to the North-German Lloyd Company by £13,500. The increase is to be conditional on the freight charged not exceeding 20 marks (16s 8d) per ton, for the services to New Guinea, Australia, Hongkong, and Singapore.
