PALMERSTON N., February 18. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows on their Palmerston North stock sale to day : —We held our annual sheep fair, we offered a total yarding of 10,000 sheep. There was a large attendance and several buyers were present from outside districts. Some of the lines of young ewes fell to the bid of Waikato purchasers. Competition was keen throughout, and we have to report a most successful sale, only one line of 150 old ewes going out unsold. The first line offered consisted of 900 4 and 5-year Romney ewes on account of Messrs Keiller Bros., of Bulls, which realised 12s 7d. A line of 2,500 Romney-Lincoln ewes, 4 and 5-year-old, on account of A. Harding, Siberia, made lis 6d; 2tooth ewes, 13s 2d, 13s 3d, 13s 7d, 13s Bd, 14s 4d, 14s 7d; small 2 and 4-tooth ewes, 9s to 12s; 4 and 6 tooth ewes low condition), 12s lid to 13s Id; 4-tooth to f.m. ewes low condition), 8s Id; 4-tooth to f.m. ewes, I.os 6d to lis 8d; 4-year ewes, 13s sd; shorn rape lambs, 7s 6cl to 8s 6d; fat ewes, 10s; f.m. good conditioned Romney ewes, 12s 7d; cull ewes, 5s 4d to 6s; 2-tooth wethers, 9s 9d to 10s 6d; culls, lambs 5s Bd, 5s lid to 6s; forward ewes and wethers, 10s lid.
