The cricket match, Otago v. Canterbury, was concluded to-day, the visitors winning by 245 runs. Otago, who required to make 389 in the second innings to secure a win, gave a poor display, being disposed of for 143. Rutherford, 42 not out, batted w:ll. but the only other bat?men to reach double figures were Wilson IS, Ayles 15, and Siedeoerg 10. Humphreys secured four wickets for 46, Bennett three for 35, Anthony one for 10, and Orchard one for 33.
