POLLARD'S JUVENILE OPERA COMPANY.

The members of Pollard's Juvenile Opera Company will arrive this morning, and will open their season at the Town Hall tonight. All the old favourites are certain to be heartily weclomed, while the new comers will receive the generous reception and encouragement for- which New Zealander's are famed'. It is claimed by artistes that there is no country in the world where they receive such a I welcome as tiie Dominion. In the States of the Commonwealth, only companies run by one or two managements open to full houses, but in New Zealand it does not matter whether it is "Williamson," "Pollard," or unknown "Joan Smith," if the company is advertised properly the public are there on the opening night. That "The Pollard's, " as they are familiarly called, "held their own in Australia,, the following from an Adelaide contemporary amply proves: "Lovers of light amusement have no cause to cavill at the bill-of-fare provided by Mr Pollard. What he promised in his preliminary advertisements has been amply fulfilled, so that when he announces his fourth change of programme for to-night playgoers can book their seats with a feeling of confidencce that the new attraction will be on the same level of excellence as its predecessors. Opening with'Bong-Bong,' he then gave us "Bluebell," and thirdly the picK of the casket in the military spectacular musical comedy, 'The Gay Hussar,.' This is a clever work and will live while hundreds of socalled musical comedies have been relegated to the dust-bin."
