In a match at Blairlogie Junction, United (Masterton) beat Carswells by an innings and 15 runs. United made 122 (Congdon 40, Kingdon 22, Hooper 13, Haviland 11, Jones 10), and Carswells 24 and 83 (Gillespie 14, Leach 12, Curtis 11, Reeve 10 \. In Carswells first innings Kingdon took six wickets for 7 runs, Havilend 3 for 13, and Walker 1 for 0. Higgs and Morton were the most successful bowlers in the second inn-* ings. Hyde, Gillespie, Reynold'. Leach and Monro did the bowling for Carswells.
