REJECTED.
A STRINGENT BILL. RESTRICTIONS ON ALIENS. Received February 5, 9 a.m. SAN FRANCISCO, Feb.,-4. The Californian House of Representatives, by 48 to 28, rejected the Drew' Bill, which was intended to forbid all aliens to own land or exercise a vote. The fate of the Bill is con sidered to foreshadow the defeat of all measures tending to embarrass the Federal Government.
