C*RFE >ITER SERIOUSLY INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association. WAIROA, February 2. A serious accident occurred here yesterday evening. A man named Patrick Elmsley, a carpentf , was engaged on the new wharf whin a derrick fell, pinning the man by the neck and left leg. The leg was smashed terribly, nut the m*n was released after strenuous ericrts by his mates. He was taxen to the hospital, where he lies in a very critical condition. YOUNG WOMAN'S SAD END. NELSON, February 2. Nelly Minchin, or Burnip, a young married woman living apart from her husband, and formerly employed as a barmaid, but latterly living alone and performing secretarial duties, committed suicide last night by shooting herself.
