By Telegraph- Press Association. FEILDING, February 2. tZk There was perfect weather for the opening day of the Feilding Show. .Large entries came forward in all •classes. The principal prize winners were ] as follow Maiden Hunters: Miss J. Fergasson's Quartermaster, 1; W. Taylor's .Reckless, 2. Saddle Horses: Mare most suitable for breeding hacks, W. Wilkie's Lady Jewel. Mare most suitable for breeding carriage horses, Lockhard's Meda. In fat cattle, W. Mills (Cheltenham) was the most successful exhibitor. In pedigree cattle (Herefoids), G. i C. Wheeler was first in every class; in Ayrshire, W. C. Bensemann, S. Standen and W. P. Harre divided the prizes; in dairy cattle, S. JR. Lancaster secured the most prizes. The Champion Challenge Shield for the most points in the Romney Marsh class was won by S. Standen; the pjint prizes in fat sheep classes by F. S. Mcßae; the points prize for fat lambs by Hugh Burrell; the poiiits prize in tha farmer classes by ! W. E. Baker.; points prize in the freezing sheep and lamb 3 clases by F. S. Mcßi?. In pigs, Monckton, I i E. White, and M. Dtsnwid wera j most successful. In factory but;er, the Cheltenham Dairy Co. were rtrst and Awahuri Dairy Co. second.
