RONGOKOKAKO NOTES.

Friday. The annual school picnic was held" in perfect weather on .Thursday last. There was an excellent attendance of residents and visitors- from the s grounding districts. The Kair»*roro Band were in attendance, and materially added to the enjoymenc of those present. The committee did everything in their power to irake the gathering a .success,, and are ru be congratulated on their efforts. Mr B. Morriss, the secretary, deserves a. special word of praise for the rranner in whicn he carried out nis duties.

In the evening a most enjoyable social was held in the hall, the music being provided by Mrs Edmonds, Miss Morriss, Messrs Henderson, Edwards and Williams. Mr A. Smith carried out the duties of M.C. in his usual capable manner. Steady rain set in this morning. and is continuing up to the time ot writing. The local cheese factory will ship 140 cases of cheese to England next week. The manager is to be congratui lated on scoring top grade at Wellington for His cheese with 92 points.
