STOCK MARKET.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their fortnightly sale at their Waipoua Yards yesterday.:—We offered upward of 4,000 sheep of all classes. There was a guod demand for good rape lamb and wethers. We also submitted a nice line of cattle on account of Mr H. T. Hume, which met with good competition. We quote as follows:- —Twotooth wethers, small, 10s; 4-tooth wethers, 12s; rape lambs, 9s 3d to 10s 2d; small cull lambs, 6s 3d; breeding ewes from lis 6d to 12s Id; 2-tooth wethers, forward, lis lOd; 4-year steers, £6 ss; 3-year steers, £5 3s; steers, £3 17s 6d to £4; fat cows, £4. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. rep6rt as follows on their fortnightly stock sale yesterday:—We had a good average yarding in sheep, all classes being well represented, and, with a few exceptions, of good class, which fact, with a keen demand, enabled us to make a clearance, the tone of the market throughout being very firm. In cattle, our entries were only limited, however, any lots of steers, forward heifers and good coloured young cattle met with a ready sale. Good sound ewes made lis 6d, fair sorts 8s to 10s, aged and faulty 5s 6d, rape lambs, only medium, 7s to 8s 6d, culls 5s to 6s, best wethers Us 10d, others 10s 6d, 2J-year steers £4, yearlings £1 11; weaner pigs 10s Gd to 14s.
