THE NAVY LEAGUE.
LIEUT. KNOX'S FAREWELL LECTURE. Cy Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, January 26. Lieut. Knox, R.N., who has been conducting a campaign in New Zealand on behalf of the British Navy League, delivered his farewell lecture in the Town Hall to-night. The big building was packed. The Hon. Dr. Findlay, Attorney-General, presi ed, and his Excellency the Governor was present. Lieut. Knox gave an interesting address on the objects of the League. It was announced by Lord Plunket that interest in the League had been greatly stimulated by Lieut Knox's visit, five new branches having been formed, and there having been a great acquisition of members. On the motion of his Excellency a hearty vote of thanks was passed to Lieut. Knox.
