BULGARIA AND TURKEY.
Received January 26, 11.30 p.m. LONDON, January 26. Bulgaria's action in mobilising at Stara Zagova a division of her army is interpreted as a desire to produce an impression of firmness in order to influence the bargaining with Turkey. The latter is showing a desire to secure a rectification of the frontier near Kirgali unless Bulgaria's financial offer is increased. SOFIA, January 26. M. Loprikoff, Minister of Foreign Affairs, speaking in the Sobranje, stated that the Porte appeared determined to support the territorial cliim by force. Turkey had reinforced her troops in. the Adrianople district, hence the mobilisation of the Bulgarian division, which in the face of menace was purely a preveitive measure. The Sobranje approved of the s'.eps taken.
