MUSICAL EXAMINATIONS.
AWARD OF GOLD AND SILVER MEDALS, 1908. Gold and silver medals are offered annually throughout the Dominion by the Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music to those candidates at the local centre examinations who gain highest honours marks in each grade. The awards are as ftllows: — ADVANCED GRADE. Gold medal —Dorothy J. Cowie, Dunedm, piano, teacher Mr A. Vallis, marks 137. Silver medals—Muriel Cooper, Masterton, piano, teacher Mr A. B. Wallace, marks 136; Phyllis Hanify, Masterton, piano, teacher St. Bride's Convent, marks 136. Next in order of merit —Aimee Champion, Dunedin, piano, teacher Mrs Levi, marks 135. INTERMEDIATE GRADE. Gold medal—Annie L. Gibbs, Wellington, harmony, teacher St. Mary's Convent, marks 143. Silver medal —Kathleen R. Levi, Dunedin, piano, teacher Mrs Levi, marks 142. Next in order of merit—Cecilia Dwyer, Wellington, harmony, teacher St. Mary's Convent, marks 141; Annie W. M. Glasse, Dunedin, piano, marks 137.
