BOOT AND SHOE TRADE.
A CARNIVAL OF CUT PRICES. It is not often that Mr J. Carpenter, boot and shoe importer, of Masterton,. holds a special sale, but when he does- residents anticipate something quite unusual in the way of big bargains. In an advertisement appearing on page 6 of this issue, Mr Carpenter announces that a sale is now proceeding, and it is only necessary to peruse the advertisement to see that very substantial price reductions have been made. The quality of the goods stocked by Mr Carpenter is admittedly of the best, and when it becomes known that men's light medium chrome sewn boots, for instance, can be bought for 8s 6d, record business must immediately follow The same easy prices will rule for all classes of footwear during the nest few days.
