SUICIDE OF A HORSE DOCTOR.
I By Telegr^—Press Association. J INVERCARGILL, January 24. A horse doctor named David Barclay, a resident of East Inver- J cafgill, committed suicide at Oak- ■ lands, Pine Bush, on Saturday morning. The deceased was on a tour in connection with his calling, and put up for the night at Mr Richard Mulcox's place at Oaklands. He got up this morning and walked to the stable with Mr Mulcox, who left him for a time. Coming back afterwards he found Barclay dead on the floor of the stable with his throat cut, and with a blood-stained razor at his sids. The deceased was a married man with three sons, the eldest about 18 or 19 year 3 of age.
