(From Our Own Correspondent). MOUNTED RIFLES. The attendance at the sports meeting held on Friday was estimated at 700. A large number also attended a "camp fire" 'at night, at which Captain Page presented the prizes won at the sports. An excellent musical programme was provided. The following rendered songs, recitations, etc.Mr McLean, Lieut. Farmer (2), QuartermasterSergeant Bedding, Sergt. Doyle, Mr Needham (4), Chaplain - Captain Kitcat (2), Trooper Waller, Trooper Murrell, Mr Andrews (2), Trooper Franks. An excellent day's sport was brought to a close by the singing of "God Save the King" at 1J o'clock. GENERAL. The Public Hall has been booked as follows: —January 26th, Peace's Electroscope Company; January 28th, B. W. Munn; February Bth, Clement C. Wragge; February 25th and 26th, Presbyterian Bazaar. The Eketahuna Branch of the Farmers' Union will hold their annual Show on March Bth.
