A PUNITIVE EXPEDITION. SEVERAL NATIVES SHOT. SYDNEY, January 23. Island news states that a punitive expedition, under Mi 1 Woodford, Commissioner of the Solomon Islands, shot at Kola river two natives, and at Gatira Island five others, who were concerned in the recent murders in the group. The expedition alio destroyed a number of canoes and other property, and recovered a large uuantity of loot stolen at the ti:ne of the outrages.
