LONDON WOOL SALES.
By Telegraph--Press Association. Received January 22, 9 a.m. LONDON, January 21. i To-day's wool sales included the Mako clip, which realised 9&d per lb, and the Huia, which brought 9|d. At the wool sales there was spirited competition with prices unchanged. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Lid., have received the following cablegram from their London office:—"Wool: As compared with last sales closing rates, prices are higher about par to 5 per cent, for fine greasy crossbred; about 5 percent, higher for meduim greasy crossbred; about 5 per cent, to 7J per cent, higher for coarse greasy crossbivd: and about the same for scoured medium and crosslred slipe. Very large attendance or buve's with strong competition, bidding general."
