"THh: RED MILL." One of the most attractive musical plays seen in New Zealand for several ye;»rs past is "The Red Mill," which will be staged at the Town Hal! on Friday next. Since its arrival at the Sydney Theatre Royal in July last the piece has been playing to exceptionally good business both iti that city, Melbourne and in the other large cities of Australia. Moreover, it came from America with the reputation of having achieved the longest run (two years at the Knickerbocker Theatrj) of any musical piece staged in New York. The musical numbers are bright and catchy. It has a plot that bears a sentimental interest. Its cast; is throughout of exceptional strength. The two principal characters are sustained by Mr John Ford and Mr Fred. Leslie, the former an American comedian whose specified equipment is a facility for eccentric dancing. Mr Percy Den-;on, Mr Cbas. Loder, an unctuous Dutch comedian, Mr Edward Sherras Mr Howard Hall, Mr Arthur Li.sant, Miss Ivy Scott, a comedienne and dancer, Miss Olive Godwin, Miss Marie Eaton, and Miss Ada Stirling, are all well-known artists. The box plan will open at Miss Rive's on Tuesday next.
