THE RUNNING OF PENATES.

The adjourned enquiry by the Wellington R.C. stewards into the running of Senates in the Telegraph Handicap on Wednesday was concluded yesterday, says the "Post." Pritchard, the trainer of the horse. Penates showed in his preliminary that he was palpably too sore to gallop in his usual free manner, and his jockey, A. Oliver, wisely refrained from punishing the hors« for no purpose.
