(From Our Own Correspondent). MOUNTED KIU'LES. The work of the annual camp of Ihe Mounted Rifles has been very • -much interfered with by broken weather. On Sunday morning the squadron paraded to the range to prepare the mounds and telephone for the class firing. In the afternoon divine service was conducted by •Chaplain Captain Kitt-at, and a large number of visitors were entertained -at afternoon tea. Monday morning was wet, and the Company was exercised, dismounted, in physical drill and marching, by Lieut. PrendevilK "The following disposition of the men in camp has been made:— No. 1. Troop.—Sec ti'm 1: Sergt Doyle. Trooper Jaspers, Trooper Marshall, Trouper Wise. Section 2: Sert. Potts, Trooper Hughes, Trooper Cittadini, Trooper Clark. Section 3: Sergt. Fauvel, Corp. Matthews, Trooper Alarenzi, Trooper Knight. Section 4: Corp. A. Jackson, Trooper , Frank, Trooper Foster, Trooper McKenzie. Section 5: Trooper Tildes.ley, Trooper McGruddy, Trooper Whiting, Trooper Syversen,. Lieut. J. Prendeviile.- " No. 2 Troop.—Section 1: Sergt. -*"Remnant, Trooper Murrell, Trooper Thompso". Trooper Hall. Section 2: Sergt. Hill, Trooper W. Olsen, Trooper E. Olsan, Corp. Boyes. Section 3: Corp. Jackson, Trooper "Giennan, Trooper Rowe, Trooper Byrn. Section 4: Corp. Rashleigh, Trooper Herionk, Trooper Palmer, Trooper H. Youle. Section -5: Trooper C. Youle, Trooper Weston,. Trooper Wallace. A. B. Farmer, Acting Lieutenant; Sergt.-Major Greathead, Quarter-Master-Sergt. Bedding, Bugler F. Cheshire. There are also in'camp Captain • Page, Captain Herbert (unattached), Chaplain Captain Kitcat, Regimental Sergt.-Major Burr, and; RegimentalSergl. Collier, and twelve men are expected from Tinui.
A very pleasant evening was spent at the Wesleyan Church on Friday night, when a large number of the congregation met to say good-bye to Miss Hill, who is leaving for Wellington. 'Mr Baillie presented Miss Hill with a watch as a small token of the esteem in which she was held. Mr Baillie and Rev. Pendray spoke in terms of, appreciation of Miss Hill's services in the choir, Sunday school, and us organist.
