"The Spectator" says' that for brazen political impuoc.oce and flagrant paradox and sophistry, Mr Winston Churchill's Birmingham speech would be haraM beat. "The Times" states that the business of London bankers' clearing I houses show a shrinkage of £610,000,000 compared with 1907. All the provincial clearing houses show a proportionate reduction. Railway receipts, also, showed a heavy reduction.
