GERMAN STEAMER FIRED ON.

BREACH OP CUSTOMS REGULATIONS. Received January 17, 4.30 p.m. LONDON, January 16. Advices from French West Africa state that the Liberian Customs gunboat Lark, commanded by a British naval reserve officer, fired on a steamer belonging to the German Woermann line oft" Giocester. The Lark was recently instructed to stop breaches of Customs regulations and prevent the entrance of ships to Liberian ports, which are not open to the trade of the world. A guardship stationed on the Cameroon coast has started for Liberia.
